I have tons of materials already, but I know from other games that its best to hold on to everything until you know what it does.!!!IMPORTANT: Only works up to Patch 1.12. That's going to be the hardest part - just figuring out what I SHOULD be collecting and crafting. But nonetheless I care about increasing my stats, throwing bombs, and staying healed so I guess I'll learn the ins and outs of the crafting system and figure out what is best. That has always been the element I have stayed away from in other RPG games - I just don't care to sit and craft potions and collect plants. There seems to be a heavy focus on collecting herbs and crafting potions. It has the potential to deliver some fantastic moments. The side missions are very fun and unique and even have their own storylines. The main quest has me hooked on it so I haven't been doing too much wondering around, but the little bit I have wondered around has been fun. Overall I am very pleased with the open worldness. Nothing I'm going to complain about because I know it's the version I have. Not to say it's bad by any means, but the character models look a little iffy - that's all.

I know this I have the digital version on PS4 so that I'm sure is the reason why it doesn't look as good as what I've seen in video clips. Graphically I have to say I am unimpressed. I mostly just dive out of the way and wait to stun with my Aard sign (I think that's the stun) and then tee off with a light-light-light-heavy sword combo. I haven't had much luck with my parrying skills. the auto-lock doesn't really help me a whole lot, it really does come down to your positioning and reaction time. It's challenging for sure - you have to have good timing, and good accuracy with ranged weapons. I know I have a lot to work with in terms of my spells and the different weapons I can use. The sprint is nice because I feel like I can cover some good ground, but I run out of stamina easily (but it regens quickly) I just don't like the GTA-styled sprint where I have to press a button. In general, the normal walking pace is too slow and the jogging is too fast. When I'm just trying to walk around, I find it difficult striking a balance between an all out sprint and walking. I think the movement is a little clunky at times. I think DAI's voice acting is some of the best out there and that's the game I have been comparing the writing to since it's a very similar story line, just with different characters and perspectives on the matter. The voice acting in general is pretty good (for a video game), but there are a few cringe-worthy deliveries. He does a good job with the voice acting, but the gruffness to it is kind of annoying. I do have a few small complaints though -> for one, I can't stand Geralt's voice. I think the plot development is very good, you really feel attached to what you're doing. I have to say that I'm pretty stoked for this story. I did the Griffin contract, and also a pretty cool side mission where I killed a noonwraith that was haunting a well.
